Deleting your account and data

You can delete your KäpaKohting / Dog Dates account with all its data at any time, yourself, right in the app. Deletion takes effect at once and is final.
How to delete in the app
- Sign in and open Settings.
- Scroll down to Danger zone and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. If you signed in with Apple, your device asks for a quick confirmation (Face ID or Touch ID) so the Apple sign-in permission is revoked too.
What is deleted
- The account (e-mail and password, or the linked Google / Apple sign-in)
- Profile: name, dog details, avatar and photo, description, favourite parks, settings and notification permissions
- Meetups you organised, with their comments, and your participation in other people's meetups
- Friendships, invitations and blocks
- Park photos, ratings, correction proposals and comments you added
- A shared dog: if the dog has another owner it stays with them; otherwise the dog is deleted too
Backups are cleared within 30 days. Reports you sent about other users are kept without your details until the admin has dealt with them.
If you cannot sign in to the app
Send an e-mail to from the e-mail address linked to your account. We verify your identity if needed and delete the account within 30 days.
